Mat. 6:33 "Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God and All these things Shall Be Added to You!!!

What's "Wright" is "WRONG" & So is "Obummer"

Jeremiah Wright's anti-Semitic comments draw ire

Jim Brown - OneNewsNow - 6/15/2009 6:00:00

Rev Wright APA leading Christian Zionist says if President Obama wants to be consistent in his condemnation of anti-Semitism, he should speak out against the latest anti-Semitic rant by his former pastor, Jeremiah Wright.

Pastor Wright told the Daily Press of Newport News, Virginia, on Tuesday that "them Jews" were keeping him from speaking to President Obama. He also criticized the president for not sending a U.S. delegation to the World Conference on Racism, saying Obama chose not to for fear of offending Jews and Israel.

Pro-Israel activist Gary Bauer, who serves on the executive board of Christians United for Israel, says Wright's comments were yet another jarring reminder that he is an "open, unrepentant anti-Semite of the worst kind."

"This is a man who has serious problems and is obviously a hater -- and the mystery remains why in the world our president and his family would have stayed in that church for so many years," he contends.

Although the White House would not comment on Wright's incendiary remarks, including his claim that Zionists were carrying out "ethnic cleansing" in Gaza, Bauer says President Obama needs to be asked how much of his Mideast policy was formulated by the two decades of teaching he received from Wright.

Story continues below ...

How much is a person's worldview and interpretation of scripture influenced by 20+ years of teaching under the same pastor?

Gary Bauer 1"Certainly when I see the president suggesting that Israel cannot build homes for Jews in Judea and Samaria, it raises serious concerns in my mind about what in the world is motivating [him] to take such a position," he admits.

According to Bauer, if Jeremiah Wright is so concerned about "ethnic cleansing," he needs to look no further than Gaza, where every Jew was forced to leave as they turned that land over to the Palestinians. Bauer is concerned that the Obama administration may be suggesting that no Jews will be allowed to live in the West Bank as that land is also turned over to the Palestinians.

Meanwhile, the Associated Press reports that Wright issued an apology on Thursday, saying he "meant no harm or ill-will to the American Jewish community" or Obama's administration.

Questions;

1) What can we expect from Obummer sitting under the teachings of this man for 20+ years???

2) If Obummer doesn't believe what was taught by this man, why didn't he take his Family from under this Evil Teaching???

3) The Bible Clearly Teaches that the "Gaza" (& Much More) was "Given" to Israel by GOD. Obummer is Supposed to be a "Bible Toting Christian" who should know this, Right? So WHY is he "Being Anti-Semitic" towards Israel???

I am Jewish with strong ties to Israel so my opinions might be considered 'prejudicial!'

1) Do you think that perhaps the 'teachings' have a basis that have more depth and are not superficial? That's my 'take' on this one . . . "IF YOU DON'T BELEIVE AS I DO!" Think about all that is WRONG about that attitude -- it does not acknowledge that there is any other way to believe. This man has the charisma associated with Hitler and those of his ilk.  Add the influence of the Muslim faith and it becomes a major issue. The answer should include the division of politics and government.

2) Why? Perhaps this was the choice of the parents . . . Evil is differentiated from bad or wrong. Evil embodies all that belongs to the realm of Hades and those that follow that path. There is no possible explanation for continuing to attend 'services' when the purpose denies all that is 'GOOD!' WHY? Interesting that this became a 'campaign issue,' isn't it? IF one's true belief, can be dismissed because of POLITICS, then the question becomes what are the presidents TRUE belief? Perhaps 'power' overrides a lack of Faith.

3) The Israeli government has no respect for President Obama -- there intention is 'self-preservation.' In my opinion, the Israelis are going to become antagonistic and less willing to entrust the U.S. government and that includes 'sensitive information.' Problem? What will happen if there is a confrontational issue? I don't think that Israel will accept any direction or be willing to accommodate UN or U.S. intervention. What more of an insult than the $900 million pledged via the UN to help rebuild Gaza? There are no checks and balances or direction of funds via the UN!

Amen! Scripture says ; "We wrestle not against 'Flesh & Blood' but against 'Powers & Principalities' !!!" It's all about the Meglomanical Leaders of this World being Hell Bent on Destruction of Israel & the Domination & Subugation of Any Peoples who Appose their Efforts!!! Obummer is just the "Latest & Greatest Tool" of the Regime using their "Smoke & Mirrors" to play the part of "One World Savior" / "Man with All the Answers" & really is no more or less an "Adolph Hitler Stereotype".  John

Hi John!

To be honest, I cannot even begin to understand WHY Barack Obama would choose such an environment to worship within the Christian Faith! I may be Jewish but I do understand Christianity . . . from all the information I have read concerning this 'WHY,' seems to be past any definition of the Judaic/Christian ethic.

Christianity does NOT embody hatred or Evil and there is no way to reconcile the 'teachings' of the Reverend Wright with anything other than absolute disregard for Christian ethics. Again, that question as to why Barack Obama chose to disassociate his family from the precepts that belong to Jeremiah Wright when he began campaigning  for the presidency needs to be considered!

20 years at the Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's south side, has a long history of what even Obama's campaign aides concede is "inflammatory rhetoric," including the assertion that the United States brought the 11 September 2001 attacks with its own "terrorism."

In a campaign appearance, Senator  Obama said, "I don't think my church is actually particularly controversial." He said the Reverend Wright "is like an old uncle who says things I don't always agree with," telling a Jewish group that everyone has someone like that in their family.

The Reverand Wright married Obama and his wife Michelle, baptized their two daughters and is credited by Obama for the title of his book, "The Audacity of Hope."

An ABC News review of dozens of the Reverend Wright's sermons, offered for sale by the church, found repeated denunciations of the U.S. based on what he described as his reading of the Gospels and the treatment of black Americans.  "The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people," he said in a 2003 sermon. "God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme."

In addition to damning America, he told his congregation on the Sunday after 11 September 2001 that the United States had brought on al Qaeda's attacks because of its own terrorism.

"We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye," the Reverand Wright said in a sermon on 16 September 2001.  "We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost," he told his congregation.

Educational background?  Jeremiah Wright left Virginia Union University in Richmond, to join the Marine Corps. He was trained as a cardiopulmonary tech as part of the medical team charged with the care of President Lyndon B, Johnson. Before leaving the position in 1967, the White House Physician, Vice Admiral Burkley, personally wrote Wright a letter of thanks on behalf of the United States President.

In 1967 Wright enrolled at Howard University in Washington, D.C. and earned a bachelor's degree in 1968 and a master's degree in English in 1969. He also earned a master's degree from the University of Chicago Divinity School and holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio, in 1990. Wright holds a Doctor of where he studied under Samuel DeWitt Proctor. Proctor was a mentor to Martin Luther King, jr.

This man is knowledgeable in both religion and politics so how do these puzzle pieces fit together? How old was Barack Obama 20 years ago? Old enough to recognize the difference between the ethics of Christianity and the abusive derogating racist rhetoric of Jeremiah Wright!

John, I suggested once before that you consider an 'open question forum format' that allows a way to 'vote.' AOL continues to provide multiple questions and a way to conduct a 'survey' of the votes recorded . . . please give this some thought.

Barack Obama is the President of the United States of America and there is no way that his association with Jeremiah Wright did not influence his thinking patterns . . . the Obama administration has proven that OUR COUNTRY has changed direction. Obama's Narcissistic personality is nothing more nor less than a 'match' for dictators from the PAST, are we going to accept this or begin ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTIONS?

"The Audacity of Hope?" or The Audacity of America's Demise?!

John, the references are correct and encompass my own opinions . . . there is a difference. If you chose to verify the information, please do and I have no objection to you adding a part or all of this to your own questions and posts.

Love everybody!Smile

Everybody has an opinion. I think you can stay in a church for a multitute of reasons that don't include agreeing with everything the pastor says. There were many strongs points to the church Obama attended as I heard the story. I don't really think he needs defending on that subject. I wonder how many people agree with every point their pastor makes.

I think Obama should know what the Bible says about Israel and the land that was given to them by God. He would be smart to refresh his memory. I cannot speak as to his prejudice; I am not a mind reader. Given time we will see where he stands. He did not want to offend the Jewish people by sending delegaataes to the World Conference on Racism as you quoted above so that speaks in favor of Jews and then you feel he is anti Jewish. Time will tell. I think he wants to walk the tight wire down he middle road and both sides won't like him; he hopes this way he won't be seen as favoring either side. Time well tell.

I hope he doesn't critisize anybody. We have too much of that already.
