World of Warcraft is a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game made by a company called Blizzard Entertainment. As a Role Playing Game, players get to create a virtual character and gradually build its powers and abilities. As a massive multiplayer online game, the players get to play with thousands of other people and join forces against other factions or computer controlled characters.
Like Lord of The Rings, WoW is not set in medieval times, but in a fictional fantasy world based on folklore mythology.
Although magic and melee battles are a major part of WoW, it is still relatively not a violent game. WoW has an ESRB rating of T, which means it is not recommended for children under 13.
However, the game is often played by older people. In fact, survey results shows that the average age of WoW players is 28.
The game is not available for various platforms, but only for computers running Windows or Mac OS X.
