Asked about “Relationships

What's your take?

I am getting ready to get married. Currently my son in law which by the way has not been with my daughter for over 7 years lives with me. He does not have a permenant job, and is on probation. I'm telling him he has to leave and get his own place. He has no where to go, not my burden, and I tell him I can not go into this relationship with baggage. My daughter tells my to pray on it. Well, I have and I don't see any of our plans including a 40 yr old. He has no disabilities that provent him from seeking steady employement. He has to go! What's your take? Stella

You cannot ask him to leave unless you include your daughter. Unless you are willing to do that you have to forget about it. It is her fault equally as his. Are you a strong person. If so, give them 30 days notice and inform them the sheriff will be there to remove them if they are not out. They are using you and if you are weak they will play on that. Go with tough love and they will eventually thank you.
