What's Your Attitude Regarding Religion? Do you want to understand truth? or Man?

Religious Attitudes ??
Being a man that has become very deeply rooted in God and His truth, I have become one to take great interest with concern for all others that claim our Lord within their own lives, accompanied with the uncountable doctrines (beliefs) of man that are taught in churches throughout America and the world. You at AOL ask if is there is to much or too little religion in America. . . and I shall give you the only true answer that exists according to God that cannot lie. . . .
"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." Revelation 12:9
I began reading about God in the Bible 18 years ago, and have not been in a church since 1995, therefore God, being my only teacher, has been teaching me very much, especially during these past 2 years while being totally alone with him the better of 24 hours a day because of no other life here in the Philippines. And a very difficult time it has been, yet my faith has only increased greatly . . . and God knew that it would, because He knows all things.
Because He is a merciful God full of love, He gives you warnings of all things throughout His words in the Bible, yet very few believe Him, yet with His kindness, He even tells you why those few believe through His words in Isaiah 28:9.
“Whom shall He teach knowledge? And whom shall He make to understand doctrine? Them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.”
The next verse is very, very important, and that is because it tells you how to read the Bible.
“For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.”
Do you understand?  Now from the verse you just read in Isaiah 28:9, let’s go from here to there in Hebrews 5:13-14
“For every one that uses milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.”
“But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
To fully understand the verse we began with in Revelation, while knowing that reading the Bible with understanding, is here a little, and there a little. . . So, Revelation 12:9 here, takes us there to 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 with the words;
"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ."
"And to no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."
"Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."
Now from this verse here, let’s go to another there in Ephesians just to plant deeper within your heart the words that you just read in Corinthians. . .
“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.”
Just how clearly does God have to make His truth known?
God is love and truth, therefore His Word is truth, yet hundreds of millions of saved Christians that live their own lives, are living in only the partial truths taught by man. . . .and from false doctrines that they believe. . . are about to enter into the great tribulation. . . .so says God.   Jeremiah had to vomit because of his visions of your sufferings. . . .it better make you think now before it’s to late.
Let us allow God to tell you exactly where you are now in prophecy. . . .
“And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe His gospel.”
God just told you your choice. . . .believe Him, or believe man.
Because I have lived a life of many difficult trials as God shapes and molds me to be fit and worthy of His calling, I still thank Him from my heart for everything while knowing that there is a purpose for all things.
With God by my side and in my heart, my works for Him have now begun, and where I shall go, or what my life shall become, only He knows, because I have totally committed myself only to Him, and for Him, to do His will, and not my own. . . .AMEN

Hello my friend in Christ you have such wisdom to share with those who will allow their eyes and hearts to be open to the bible instead of the so called teachers in churches those that blend their opinions in withthe words in the bible of our Savior Christ and our heavenly father- that you are willing to do battle for the souls of mankind to help them find their way within the pages of the bible instead of the me in a building saying his KNOWS the desires of Christ and God their is only one place that has been left for mankind to find the way to our heavenly father for eternity  the is the bible and having kindness, care for all mankind and faith- faith most of all in Him  - so that His will can be done though all of us - these times of hardship are the times we must stand united in our love for heavenly father and our savior Jesus Christ and strenghten our own faith and believe in His love and His knowing us better than ourselves to have the chance to join Him for eternity. God bles and keep the faith.

Your heart accepts the knowledge that hundres of millions worldwide need to follow the example of. Here is just one of countless reasons why. . .

"The Lord by wisdom hath founded hath founded the earth; by understanding hath He established the heavens. By His knowledge the depts are broken up, and the clouds drop down dew. My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shall be afraid. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it comes. F or the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. Say not unto thy neighbor, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.  Proverbs 3:19-28

Be Blessed.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (Love), I am become as a sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vauneth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seekth not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is (Love) charity.

Hi Timesoftrouble, there is only one way that I can answer your question and that is through the Holy Scripture.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, we ought to obey God rather than men.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- May God continue to bless you in the ministry of carrying out his word, for he has declared that his word will not return unto him void, but it shall accomplish that which he please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto he sent it...........Be Blessed

It is good to see another that can use scripture to follow God's words and not have man's own opinion big added to it I read the scriptures but they come out of me in my own words instead of the scriptures. the gift of loving Christ and our heavenly father is there for all who desire it and I hope more can be reached by those who have strong faith in Him. God bless and keep the faith.

Do not group things in life together, see them as individual.

the bible has been used so many ways to talk shit to others!  It is people who use these words as if they are rockets to shoot at those who do not agree with you and your believies.  What about this, people are going to leave by death, we will be alone, so you or your opinion will not be there.  Nor your religion or anyone else will see what happens to you!  I would worry about where I might go when i stand before God.  Do not say that you are not judging, there is no other reason for presenting your question as you have.  It is the bible pushing people who combobulate the word of God.  Not those with God truely in their heart!

thank you for this oppertunity

Excellent question and testimony. Thanks for sharing.

Something the Lord wants people to read and take these words to heart now: We Need to join together. Let's not argue in these times. This is what the Lord wants us to spread across our country right now:

2 Chronicles 7:14 (King James Version)

14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Matthew 28:20

(King James Version) 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

God did not give me the spirit of fear, but that of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  11Timothy 1:7

To not believe the words of the Bible is an abomanation.  I am a believer, I love the word of God and I claim the victory through the blood of Jesus.  However, oft times the way in which we choose to discuss the Bible can be harmful to those who are not "full grown" as Christians, or those who simply do not believe.  I have checked in on several postings made by Timesoftrouble, and there is never a question asked, but several hundred words of Scripture, with his own opinion attached.  Perhaps I am wrong, but a post such as this could possibly put you in a position of "claiming holier than thou."  Pointing your finger at others.  We on Yedda enjoy discussing questions posted, but if there are no questions, and the space is used for your own self satisfaction, tell me the purpose.  Ask a question, and with your biblical knowledge and the knowledge of other Christians on the site you will be able to discuss.  Just a bit of advise.  Have a great day and God bless.
