If Ted Kennedy had some of the best health insurance possible and it did nothing to cure his cancer, then what was the point of having health insurance, and why should any of us have health insurance? I sent Kennedy a letter, or an email, telling him what cured my Grandma of cancer 32 years ago when western medicine failed, as soon as I heard he had cancer. I guess he never considered it seriously. And our 'wonderful doctors'(hahahaha) failed to cure him. So why should we be forced to have health insurance, and why should should some states demand that people have chemotherapy and radiation when it doesn't work?

You make a good point but at the same time, it's possible Kennedy's cancer was different from what your grandma had, so even if he had followed your instructions, he could have still died.
Western medicine has not failed. People's life style is responsible for most of the preventable diseases.
Sure, it is certainly possible he would have died with that too I doubt any method will work 100% of the time. But the treatments my grandmother got after she left western medicine have a FAR better success rate, and make sense. I think Kennedy would have had a FAR better chance of , well at least living longer, if not getting cured 100%. But if people are going to have to have insurance or be forced to take certain treatments(neither of which do I consider proper) the insurance should be required to cover treatments that have a good success at curing, whether it is western or not, and doctors should not refuse to use treatments that work just because they won't make tons of money that way. Doctors should be forbidden to use methods that do not have any great success. Chemotherapy and Radiation are perfect examples.
