Weight loss

I'm not an overweight man, but I just have those extra 25 pounds sitting on me and I really want to get them off. I don't have a lot of time to work out and I don't eat very healthy...isn't there SOMETHING else out there I can use? diet pills?

I would stay away from diet pills. The best thing to do is to change your lifestyle. Exchange that hamburger for a chicken sandwich, eat a salad instead of the fries, switch to drinking water instead of soda. Eat smaller healthier meals 4 to 6 times a day. Add more fruit and veggies to your diet.

Instead of spending your lunch break at the table, take a small walk. Exercise  does not require a lot of time, 30 minutes 3 or 4 times a week can work miracles.

These are just a few simple ideas that you can add to your daily routine without much effort.

Here is also a free publication that will give you 101 daily tips for losing weight.

Don't use diet pills. Studies show that they usually don't do any good on a long term basis and they actually have harmful effects.

I'm sorry to say but the real way to lose weight and keep it off is to change your diet and do more exercise. You don't have to spend too much time. 45 minutes of walking 4-5 times a week should be a good start. Eat a bit less and more healthful food and you'll see the pounds shed right off.

Work hard or go home.

I have to agree with the others' advice. Stay away from diet pills. If you're interested in losing the extra pounds, take up running. It's the best way to lose the weight. You don't need a gym membership or fancy equipment. You just need to have 30 minutes a couple times a week. Try cutting back on the unhealthy foods you are eating and/or substituting them for something healthier and this will make a huge difference. Good luck!

I recently joined Weight Watchers and chose the Flex plan. I was shocked to discover how bad some of the foods are that I was eating on a pretty regular basis. I am losing weight and the others in my group are, also. There are men in all of our groups and WW is focusing more on what men need to lose weight. On the Flex plan, you can still eat absolutely anything you want...in moderation. I lost 2 pounds this week eating Taco Bell, Cracker Barrel AND pizza! You just stay within your daily allotted points and the weight comes off. It's been incredibly simple to stick with. I wish you best...I know you can do it!
