As far as I know Weight Watchers have these points where your food intake and aerobic workout all compute into a set amount of points you're supposed to consume per day (working out increases the number but only on a weekly basis, so be careful).

You should consult your counselor, and see if perhaps you have too many points in your daily intake, and taking one or two off could make all the difference (or adding exercise). Don't do this on your own though, because not having enough points could also lead to a halt in the weight loss.

WISDOM comes from years of study, travel and life experiences!  You'll see one day.

Weight Watchers has been around a long time for a reason: it does work. Weight Watchers is based on some simple, scientific principles (not diets they require and sell you, not based on any pills and not based on a wierd, out-of-the-norm diet. I can summarize it: It is based on caloric intake; they teach you how to ACCURATELY count both CALORIES and FAT content in the food you eat, and they encourage food with fiber; the tell you to drink at least 64 ounces of water per day, they tell you to eat a variety of foods (ie meat, veggies, fruit, dairy products) but to count the calories and fat content (which they give you a booklet to convert to "POINTS"). The number of "points" you are allowed is based on your current weight range. They also tell you to exercise about 1/2 hour or so 4/5 days a week. THE SCIENE IS SIMPLE; At the caloric intake Weight Watchers recommends/allows for that weight range, you will be burning more calories than the calories you take in. The exercise helps make sure you are burning enough calories. This works, its science ... burn more calories per day that your caloric intake and you WILL LOSE WEIGHT. Now, how do I know? I lost 50 pounds in 6 months on the weight watchers (point counting plan). I did learn and understand it in all its details, I did write down and count the points CAREFULLY on everything I ate (except when eating out, which I rarely did during that 6 months ... because it was so much easier to CONTROL and COUNT POINTS when I made it at home). I am NOT a big water drinker, but I did drink the 64 ounces of water (or more) almost every day. I also did a lot of exercise at a gym that was within walking distance of my residence and which I could get into 24/7 (and I did it often before sun-up and when I was only one in the gym ... mostly treadmill). I did keep a log (which weight watchers provides)and was very methodical about that to be sure I was adding up EVERY POINT so I could be certain I was staying within my 30 points maximum (when I started; ss you loose weight you get less points). BOTTOM LINE: If you methodically follow the weight watcher total program to the "t" ... its basic science you will loose weight. Less calories in that calories burned and limit fat works. Rob

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,

People are different, what works for some doesn't necessarily work for others....  If that diet didn't work for you try others (there are plenty) until you'll find the one that suits you best.  I found that working by goals worked best for me.... The goal I set was only 2 pound a week... easy and normal way to loose weight (provided you don't break it !).
Best regards,

I suggest that you get your hormone levels checked, if they are all out of balance it can be almost impossible to lose weight.  Susanne Somers has a great book out about naturally balancing hormones.  I find that that helps dramatically!  good luck.
