Wedding announcement in the newspaper?



I'm trying to understand when I should place a wedding announcement in the newspaper. How soon after the wedding? (You don't usually place a newspaper wedding announcement before the wedding, right?)
Also, do you know of any wedding or bridal website that has some good free  information about what to include in the newspaper announcement, what format to follow, should I include a photo etc.
I'd appreciate any information you can give, thank you.

Yes, for advice and ideas on newspaper wedding announcements I suggest you visit wedding announcement in the newspaper , there you will find plenty of information about what to include in the newspaper announcement, the correct format and some example newspaper wedding announcement wording.

I would say should try and place your wedding announcement in the newspaper as soon as possible after the wedding, and I suggest no later than 10 days after (while it's still a reasonably "fresh" event).


The Newspapers will usually require the standard info, a black and white photo, address details, date and venue of the wedding, names of all those concerned etc.

No wedding day in Vancouver without Vancouver Wedding Photography .

I published an announcement the next day I got married. I did not include any photo as such but all details with SSN etc. This was for legal purpose.
