Web service

I have a webservice, that uses data, which is first loaded from a file and is then compiled to a special datastructure.

The webservice is called frequently by clients. I dont want to load the file for each call to the service. Is it possible to keep the special data structure in memory?

I need more information.

Why don't you save it as a file (xml)?

What web server?

In what programing language  are you using?

Thanks for the responsers.

I will use the Application object, which can store data (global variables) between sessions. It is enough for me now.
