Wax on Hardwood Flooring

Eric, we installed hard wood African Black Cherry. We were away from home and had a lady come to clean our home. She waxed our floor and now it looks terrible and is peeling. What do we use to remove this wax and not harm the wood ? Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated.
