Three Concerns About the Rapid Expansion of...

The rapid expansion of federal criminal law leads to these three concerns: 1)It's easy to unknowingly violate federal criminal law. 2)Few federal defendants ever get their day in court. 3)Over-federalizing crime makes us less safe.

The Juvenile Justice System Criminal Law

Children who break the law are subject to a separate judicial system called the juvenile court system. In some states, the court may be called family court or probate court. Generally, the focus of the juvenile court system is based more on rehabilitation than on punishment. In some cases, however, older juveniles who commit more serious crimes will be charged as adults and tried in the regular criminal courts. In such cases, sentences will be more in accord with adult punishment, whereas in juvenile court, any incarceration is usually in a more rehabilitative setting and generally ends when the juvenile attains the age of majority. Juvenile courts in many states also hear cases involving the abuse or neglect of children.

Just A Dream [Criminal Intent]

Please read first!! (Note: this is very sad, I think, so you may need tissues) This is dedicated to Magra, because she sent me all the sound clips that you hear at the end - thank you so much hon!! Storyline: This takes place at the end of 'Please Note...' when Goren and Eames find Marla. Marla refuses to listen to them and shoots both Goren and then Eames. Eames survives but finds out in the hospital that Goren did not. The video follows her life after his death, the funeral, the wake, and trying to deal with her new partners. Eight years later, a woman is found shot: the same MO as the women in 'Please Note...' Eames knows it's Marla and when she finds her, Eames gets her to confess and arrests her. She testifies at the trial and (this is not in the video, but is implied, I hope) Marla is convicted. Eames finally gets closure. And I know I have requests, but I've been working on this and wanted to get it up before I go away this weekend, then I'll be free to work on them. I'm so sorry I haven't got them up yet, but I've been so busy with school, I've had virtually no free time :( By the way, when are all your birthdays? I want to make sure I say happy birthday when it is :) Meike, I already know yours: 18th December, right? :) Song: Just A Dream Artist: Carrie Underwood I own nothing.
