Every woman is different. On an average, cessation of menses probably occurs at some point during a woman's 50's. Again, it will vary from woman to woman; although women in the same family (related by blood) MAY have similar experiences which MAY be related to their shared genetic factors.

If you are curious to know when your cycle may cease, perhaps you should discuss the topic with your mother (if she is still living). I wasn't able to discuss it with mine (she had passed away before I got to that point). I'm sorry now that I didn't have the chance - I think it would have helped with so many of my questions!

For most women it is usally in the fiftys and some in the early sixtys but that really depends on the history of the women in your family. Ask some older family members that have gone through this or even your mother

Dream big, and reach for the stars!

Hi rollersonroller9, I once read on the internet that the usual age for menopause is between 45 and 55. It all depends on your hormones. My hubby's grandmother had her last baby at age 57! That was about 80 years ago. So there is no set age for your menstrual cycle to stop.
