As you know it didn't win, they gave a reasonable explanation why it didn't,
in short: they state that the academy member has to see so many movies, so basically those who go more are the pensioners that don't like war movies and especaily not animation, that is the reason that most of them picked others as best foreigner movie, maybe next time for Israel :)
