Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?

Game wardens in Vermont were fairly suspicious of a trophy buck that Marcel Fournier, 19, had shot. It wasn't a buck, but rather a doe. So how did it come to have a 10-point rack on its head? Fournier had bolted it to the slain deer's head, and had a photo taken with him and the "buck". When confronted, Fournier admitted the deed. "He used epoxy and lag bolts recessed into the rack," said game warden David Gregory."There were enough people with experience around here who could see that [it was fake]," he said, and turned him in. Fournier was assessed a $400 fine, jailed for 10 days, and lost his hunting license for at least three years. (Burlington Free Press)

Franken's Anti-Rape Amendment

When thirty Republicans lined up against an amendment that would have required defense contractors to allow their employees access to U.S. courts in cases of rape or sexual assault, Jon Stewart ripped them to pieces.

"I understand we're a divided country, some disagreements on health care. How is ANYONE against this?" he wondered.

It's a question, it turns out, best addressed to the White House.

The vote against the amendment has sparked outrage at the all-male, all-white bloc of thirty Republican senators. HuffPost readers have been particularly infuriated by the GOP opposition and have regularly posted the names of the offending thirty in the comment section of even unrelated stories.

The amendment, sponsored by Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.), is intended to address the type of Kafka-esque treatment Jamie Leigh Jones received from the U.S. justice system after she was gang-raped by fellow KBR workers. The defense contractor argued that her employment contract required that her claim be heard in private arbitration rather than in open court.

In 2005, Jamie Leigh Jones was gang-raped by her Halliburton/KBR co-workers while working in Iraq and locked in a shipping container for over a day...

"YOU MUST NOT FEAR, FEAR IS THE MIND KILLER, YOU MUST FACE YOUR FEAR AND LET IT PASS OVER AND THROUGH YOU AND WHEN IT IS GONE, ONLY YOU REMAIN"

NicolasS,

I say it was par for the course. 21st century technology has allowed all sorts of people to come to the forefront of our media.

I suspect that his reported belief of the end of the world in 2012 and the need to build his family a survival shelter is behind his need for money.

His need for money is behind the exploitation of his family and reveals the state of his mental health with this hoax.

A Virginia man is charged with indecent exposure for walking around naked--in his own kitchen.Police arrested Eric Williamson 29, after two people cutting through his yard spotted him in the altogether at 5:30 a.m.

I found a couple of things wrong with this story. Why were two people cutting through his yard at 5:30 in the morning, and why was he arrested for letting it all hang out when the two people should have been arrested for tresspassing? There went another of his rights.

The Madoff theft of $65 billion blows one's mind, especially considering that the SEC audited his company four times and found nothing.  Moreover, Madoff used the audits as an endorsement of his firm's honesty and success.
