Volkswagen F3 racing engine

What Volkswagen cars use the base motor that volkswagen uses for their F3 racing program?

I couldn't figure out how to respond to your answers with out maybe closing the question so this will have to do.

Either way, so the thought that it is based on the 150 hp VW (engine code bpg, wiki) makes sense, stock block of 2 lt, light, ect.  but that block is FSI, and although it isn't baned in my interpatation of the rules, 2006 fia 5.4.8. you cant tell from the pictures if they use the fsi. I imagine they wouldn't other wise they would have braged about it.

What goes around comes around

Hi,

As far as I know the only cars that use this motor are racing cars. Volkswagen also sales its motors to other companies but I have a feeling this motor is monstrous for the casual car.

Volkswagen's new F3 engine is based on VW's 150bhp 2-liter aluminum engine, used in many models (Bora, Golf, Beetle, and quite a few Audi and Seat models). It's heavily modified, though.
