I have a Vivatar Digital Camer 6.0 mega Pixels model 6300. I hardly used it over the past 14 months maybe 6 to 7 times. Yeterday while uploading picture to pc . The camer when I was unpliging it from pc flashed strange. I did the safe removeal where pc says its ok to remove , camera closed up and when I went to turn it on , it goes on and shuts back off. I called Vivatar ther were rude saying it no longer under warranty take it to a repair store and theysaid camera which also does video record and can act as aweb camera has built in mic for the video recording , thech said my camera old. 14 months even 2 years is not old . this camera / video cam/web camera was not cheap . and I don;t have a clue where to take it for a tech to see whats wrong. can a computer tech take a look at it, reason I asked is I think the softwere which I have the disk got taken out when removing caamerafrom pc. Any how any suggestion where to take it to? I asked Vivatar What if I mail camera to them for cost to repair, they said they olny dowarranty repairs , , they did not want to even give me address a e mail to write cutomer service for advise.

HAVE YOU TRIED CHANGING THE BATTERIES IF YOU HAVE HAD IT THAT LONG. GO WHERE YOU BOUGHT IT AND TALK TO THEM ABOUT IT OR YOU SHOULD HAVE THE PHONE NUMBER FOR THE MANUFACTURER.

If fresh batteries don't solve the issue, toss it. It's not worth repairing. Lesson learned in buying anything from Vivitar as well.
