It sounds like you need to download new drivers these devices.  You can look for the right drivers on the manufacturer website, Microsoft's website, or to get them both in one place try the free compilation of Vista drivers at http://www.radarsync.com/vista

Yes - just download the new drivers.  That should solve the problem.  Also make sure you clean the Vista registry after installing the new programs.  It will make your computer run much better.
