Visitor and student visa

I have a US visitor visa for 5 years (B1/B2). I want to go for my bachelors in the states ..if i apply for a student visa and get it would my other visa stay valid.. and can you study on the visitor visa?

yes, your other visa will stay valid as long as the date of expiration and you have to renew it again.
