The Atlas sewing machine company was established in 1955. Their machines were branded machines built by Brother. The Pink Atlas is the one that is most known.

Atlas files bankrupt in 1962. So there were few machines sold under that brand.  The black Atlas must have been sold just about the time that the company went backrupt. So I think that I have a very rare machine indeed.  I'd still like to have a copy of the manual and of course any other information about the machine.

Should I gather any more information about the black Atlas, I'll post it.
