Vince McMahon's new son- Hornswoggle

I used to enjoy watching WWF (WWE) shows, back when I was a kid.

Today I saw this article about Vince McMahon revealing his bastard son- Hornswoggle.

I keep seeing grown people still believing this soap opera.

Does any of you, how were fans when they were younger, still find it real and entertaining?

When I was younger I watched wrestling on Monday nights (when my parents would allow me to).  My brother and sister and I would sit there, all excited, and happy that we were actually allowed to watch it.  We knew everyones names, and even had our favorites.

When I grew up I thought wrestling was stupid, and fake; it was something that I would have never even thought to watch.  I even had a conversation with someone in WWE, and told him straight out how stupid wrestling was, and pretty much how stupid he was.  Then I met my boyfriend.  My boyfriend loved to watch wrestling.  At first I thought it was a bit odd, a 28 year old man who liked to watch wrestling so much that he took me to watch a wrestling pay per view on our first date.  When I made fun of him for thinking wrestling was real, he explained to me that he knows that the scenario's are written, and that there is a lot of soap opera additions to the show, but the bumps that they take are in fact real.

Two and a half years into dating him I have been to live wrestling events, and have seen for myself first hand.  Although the story lines are not REAL, the wrestling is, and that is why there are adult fans that find it entertaining.

I find it entertaining as a whole.  It's often referred to as a "male soap opera" because it's more fighting type stories than anything.  Stories that cause some sort of feud or conflict which eventually gets settled in the ring.  I think some of it is funny and some can be downright immature, but all in all it's just mindless fun, like most TV can be.
