I followed the RivaFLA Encoding, but unfortunately, this solution was not as readily apparent as the tutorial found in the URL.
For me, the best way to convert FLV to AVI was to import the FLV into a new Macromedia Flash 8 project, then choose Export to AVI. The only problem with this solution was that there was no audio in the newly created AVI file.
I then had to rip the audio seperately with a program called PolerBits SoundEditor in conjunction with playing the FLV in the RivaFLA player (bundled with the encoder that I had tried at first).
At this point I had a AVI video file and a seperate WAV audio file, which I could then use.
Thanks guys.
