St Petersburg Time News I am a RN who has a problem with the famous Bay Pines VAMC of Bay Pines Florids. I moved here about 5 years ago after graduating Pacific Lutheran University 4 year nursing program. I began working for Bay Pines in 2005. In the year of 2006 I was diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis, followed a medication regiment and has done well. MS went into remission that November. Nevertheless I reported a co-worker who was unprofessional to the ill veterans as well as interrupting the my nursing duties to my manager, and was told that she(my manager) was glad I was having problems with this particular person because now she (the employee) could not throw the "race card". Needless to say nothing was done to correct the behavior of the co-worker. However, another co-worker came to the hospital after being retired volunterily, and began to work again under this same manager whom she had retired under. This girl needed a permanent position. Now the story thickens. I, the hired RN, working and adjusting to my new found illness, was harassed, told to float throughout the hospital against my medical doctors advice, and made to work in a lessor job of my expertise due to my manager's "non-medical" diagnosis of me as having a "Cognitive Disorder" something my doctors had not diagnosis.
