Vasectomy and erection

Does a vasectomy affect a man's ability to achieve an erection?  Does it lower his sex drive?

Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.

According to vasectomy.com, getting a vasectomy will not affect your sex drive or ability to perform; it only hinders your ability to father a child.

The same response is found on other legitimate health sites.

My ability to get an erection fell off a cliff within weeks of getting a vasectomy at 43.  It went from coming up when I simply touched or kissed my wife in bed or the shower or even just trimmed my pubic hair, to often taking large amounts of direct physical and mental stimulation, and sometimes not getting erect enough to have sex.  My wife is wonderful and understanding and hot, and we know how to please each other, so I have no performance anxiety.   My sex drive is as strong as ever and I'm very attracted to my wife on multiple levels.  I never had any hint of ED before the vasectomy.  Quite the opposite.

It's all good , just some are better than others

No it does not effect erection or erousel, i just had one a month ago and if anything it kinda of raised all the above, but word of advise - give yourself time to heal. As the outside looks fine and healed the inside is still mending so take it easy or you can pull sutures like i did. Sex is good after 2 weeks and soreness goes away, but doing heavy pulling or lifting should wait awhile. If or when you get one- ice, ice, ice them down. I used a bottle of water and froze it as it was the most comfortable rather than a bag of frozen veggis.
