Vanessa not in New Moon?

It seems that the rumors that Vanessa Hudgens had auditioned for New Moon were not true.  If Vanessa is not going to play Leah, who should?

My first choice would be Jessica Lowndes, from the new 90210. I think she would be perfect for the part, since her 90210 character is pretty tragic most of the time! I also think that Kristin Kruek would be good to play Leah, since there are a few similarities to her role as Lana Lang on Smallville.

I think that it should be an unknown actress, like the rest of the cast was, and preferably someone English! New moon would be their launch into the industy!

...Robert Pattinson is from the UK area... Remember Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter? Yeah, that'd be him. So I don't think England needs that much help "getting into the industry."

No definately not. New Moon does not need a high school musical star in it. it will just make the movie too cheesy.

im glad that the rumors were unture. i think that vanessa in new moon would ruin it. shes good in HSM and stuff like that but not fer the twilights!
