Vanessa Hudgens in Twilight?

Vanessa Hudgens has auditioned for the part of Leah Clearwater in the Twilight sequel New Moon.  Should she get the part?  Will this be a good move for her after High School Musical?

It could be interesting , though I think Twilight's seuel needs a real mega bomb to draw the crowd. And she is OK not a mega bomb.

I make this assessment completely unbaised. I have never seen any of her films, and though she looks the part, I can't say I approve. Most of the actors cast either have little prior to Twilight, or a lot of minor roles. And that makes the overall feel that much better, it's easier to imagine the actors as the characters, without straying back to "Well... this is different than when they were in such-and-such movie".

Too many of the teen crowd would remember her as Gabriella, and those that haven't read the books might be caught off guard at how Leah's attitude differs.

Stick with the down low crowd, casting directors, it work in your favor.

No offense Vanessa Hudgens.

eww... i cant see vanessa as her. that probably isnt the best idea. i mean i pictured her as well... how can i say it... NOT LIKE THAT! i thought she'd be more of a blonde maybe light brown haired girl with light but not too light skin..

I really hope they do not pick her, no offense to her.  But I was hoping it would be someone new, like the one person said so you can actually picture her as the character in the book, instead of only seeing her as she was in HSM.

Team Edward!!!!!!Laughing

it will be fine. i can see vanessa being leah, but i pictured leah more .. idk ... different.. but i think it would still be a good movie.i have to say, New Moon wuz my least favorite out of all of them, but thats just because Edward left.(i cried!!!) im team edward all the way. jake sucks.(no offence 2 Taylor Launter,he still roxx..but jake in the book sucks.)

i really dont think vanessa would be a good leah. because i just cant picture vanessa playing a wearwolf. i mean shes like too girley and stuff. so i dont think she should get the part. plus, all of the other actors werent really in any big movies and she was in high school musical and i think they should get someone to play leah who isnt as well known.
