Vampire Origins?

Does anyone know the first or oldest culture to have tales of a vampiric being (vampire)?

Some say it's the vrykolakas of ancient Greece but others have told me it started in ancient Sumeria and Mesopotamia with the ekimmu? I've also heard tales of the Hungry Dead from Japan.  Which myth is the oldest?

I was late for work this morning, because I got stuck in Zeno's paradox

I remember reading somewhere that the vampire legends started in the Far East, and were brought to Europe when people started trading along the silk route.

That is a tough one. I tried to explore that myself in my new book (cover is my icon) in Allure of the Vampire and I found all of the ones you mentioned to be very accurate. But I strongly suspect that Lilith and the like from the ancient Jewish folklore and Greeks to be the oldest that resemble what we now relate to vampires.
