Always DO IT FOR YOU! And be sure to check with your doctor if you really need to lose the weight. Do it for health and not just vanity! It is too hard to stick to it when it is not for you.
My ex husband was always pushing me to lose and I did and it always came back, a few extra pounds with it each time. I'm now 238 lbs and when we got married I was 130lbs at 5'7".
