A man (or woman) who won't die for something is not fit to live.

Would this be a good Valentines Day present?

My boyfriend thinks I'm fat. Should I diet for him for Valentines Day?

Your boyfriend should love you for who you are....don't diet for him.   If you feel you need to lose a few pounds then that is when you should diet.  If you are happy with who you are then don't do the diet.  My fiancee is on the heavy side, but to me she is the most beautiful woman in the world and I wouldn't change her one bit...I love her just the way she is!

If your boyfriend is telling you that you are fat and belittling you already, imagine life with him if you were to ever get married. Do not diet for his sake. Do it only for you. If you do it for him then he will start to slowly think he can control you and who you are. I had the same situation once upon a time when I was overweight. I have since lost that weight and now I run into the guys who had cut me down because of my weight. They have asked me to go out now, but I tell them that I wasn`t good enough for them back then and now they are not good enough for ME! Weight does NOT change who a person is inside. Get away from your boyfriend. You can do so much better than to be with someone like that. Tell him that if he thinks the grass is greener on the other side of the fence then go for it. When he sees you again and realizes that the greener side was with you, then you tell him to go lie on the other side in the moldy hay where he chose to be. Run away from him as fast as you can because his comments to you will only continue to get worse. Look into the mirror right now and tell yourself that you are beautiful and that there is a much better man out there for you. Be strong!

Here's a more important question...Do YOU think you're fat? If so..then diet and exercise until (within reason) you like what you see. I not...Dump the boyfriend and find someone who loves you for who you are, not just your curves

Always DO IT FOR YOU! And be sure to check with your doctor if you really need to lose the weight. Do it for health and not just vanity! It is too hard to stick to it when it is not for you.

My ex husband was always pushing me to lose and I did and it always came back, a few extra pounds with it each time. I'm now 238 lbs and when we got married I was 130lbs at 5'7". He's been gone for over 16 years, but I have found a man that loves me for me for me and supportive of whatever I feel is best for me.

Good Luck and Take Care of YOU!
