Vacation In New York

In my opinion the best place to stay in for a short vacation is to find an apartment for a short term rent(sublets). I think it's the best economical decision you can make since any hotel will cost you a small fortune. Try to look for them on line the best area for you would of course be the Soho.

If the prices are too high try Queens and then you can travel the  subway anywhere.

The best way to find good deals on hostels/hotels is cheaptickets.com. I use that website for all my travel needs and have never had any problems with them. And they are less expensive than the other online websites like expedia.com, priceline.com and hotels.com.

It totally depends on your budget and if you need a specific place in NY.  I would recommend looking at www.expedia.com and looking based on your price range, location, etc.  There are a lot of pictures of the places, ratings, and all the information you'd ever want for finding the perfect place.  I hope this helps.  Also, the site has discounted rates so you can stay at a nicer place than maybe you thought you could afford.
