Unfortunately for you they do not report, unless you don't pay them, then they report that negative mark to all three credit bureaus. I know it sound unfair, but hey, they set up the rules (they, the banks)

They will only report if you don't pay so not having them show up on the report could be looked at as a good thing?

Same Day Payday Loans & Cash Advance for your instant financial requirements

Unfortunatly, if you pay your utilities on time, for the duration of your life, the GOOD credit will never be reported, but if they send you to collections, you bet it will land on your credit report. Gas, Electric, and Cable - all three may send you to collections if you fall more than 90 days past due.

A penny saved  is a penny earned

Hi undertaker,

I was told when i was going thru procedures of getting a loan that i had to go to this free sit in class about buying. A home.   In this class the one question that was told to us was that when you go to get a loan ( now this has been 10 years ago ) that when you put down for credit reference that all that was needed was 3 good credits. Of any kind,  including regular bills that yu pay each month.    1. Rent    2.  Electric   3.  Phone   and ect.  So i  have always told my children  to make sure that they paid all these 1 week before or earlier they were due  for at least 1 year, for good credit when they are ready to buy.  Some people think they have to have alot of good credit with alot of purchases,  but you don't. "THE PART OF LIFE IS GOOD CREDIT" AND IF THEY SEE YU PAY THAT GOOD,  OF COURSE THEY WANT YOU BUY A HOUSE.  So i would make sure that you show it as good credit from them. And question the company about it.  Because i think by law they have to report it.

God bless

Nanadee  Cool

They don't have to report that information by law. However if you missed a payment they would likely report that. It's good to get check ups on your credit health regularly to see what all is on your report. I suggesting using a site like annualcreditreport.com , but don't buy their credit score cause they are FAKO's and not FICO's.

Good question! Thanks for the chance to throw my two cents in. Smile  Typically, payments to utility companies do not appear in your credit score unless they are unpaid over a length of time.  However, if you are rebuilding your credit, and have a good payment history with the utility companies, you can use them as a  payment reference. Here is an interesting article on this subject....Utility and cell phone bills don't improve your credit score.
