Although there are many video sharing sites out there, they are usually designed to support small clips.  If you are intending on sharing a video library with many large files, I would look at purchasing a monthly subscription to a hosting service (such as 1and1 for example) For as little as $6 per month,

you will be able to upload large files to your web space and control the type of streaming you would prefer.  Although the task may sound daunting, a lot of the hosting companies offer tools and wizards to help you accomkplish basic web hosting needs. The simplest route would be to convert your videos to .wmv so that they can be streamed with windows media player (quicktime if your on a mac)

If you only want to share your video files with your friends, and you don't care if they can watch the vidoeo inside the website or they'll have to download the file, you can use

MegaUpload for files smaller than 250mb for free. If you want your friends to be able to watch the file without downlaoding it, I think your best option is to use Google Video, but you'll have to install Google's uploader software in order to upload files bigger than 100mb.

If what you're trying to do is to send this video to someone, try YouSendIt - it will allow you to upload the file and then email the link to someone else.
