What do I do with a set of the 200th anniversary encyclopedia with the yearly updates and with the book of science and the future ? Also have lots of authors like Cussler, Paterson, Kellerman etc.

Think of a price. This meens that you need to make sure that you most definetly don't want all of the books. Once you do this you should think of a price to tab the books with. Then you should tab them and sell them or don't tab them and give them away to someone who actually likes that stuff!

I tried giving away medical books and regular fiction, etc. & no one seems to want them. You MIGHT try selling (or giving them away) to a used book store, or you could try searching online for "used encyclopaedias" and there may be someone who is looking to buy them?  Also, if you can't sell them, you might try donating them to your public library.  Good luck!

Smile, it's contagious!

Public libraries ususally don't want the books. They already have sets of encyclopedias and have no more room for others. Donate them to a school, church with a library, Good Will, Salvation Army, second hand book store, second hand store with assorted merchandise, flea market sale, garage sale. Give them to a neighborhood child less fortunate, take them to a charity that distributes to the needy. Don't throw them away. Someone somewhere would be glad to take them off your hands.

I sold mine but had to include the book case with sliding glass doors otherwise nobody wanted them. And, they go CHEAP.

Never too old to learn something new. Always curious and I've never been "just a little" interested in anything. Cool

Agreeing with citrine 1, never throw a book away! Donate them, or try selling them to a used book dealer. But don't expect to make much money ... used books, no matter how valuable, don't bring big prices. If a dealer is interested in your collection, he'll offer you a price for the whole collection. You'll have them off your hands, along with the pleasure of knowing that someone else will get to read them.

I have donated books to many shelters, but I think I will try to get them to service people on ships and books. Not the enclyclopedia's but the others.

Books books books!

Who had what and couldn't repossess I've dabbled with e-books, but considering that I read them off hand book stores for the majority of my books. As long as the book's still legible, I don't mind books. Just finished reading Mansfield Park by Jane Austen, and starting Gloriana by Michael

Chapter Books with Illustrations - childrens books

I'm looking for chapter books with illustrations, not too lengthy, for my fourth grade son. His attention span is short, so he prefers books like Diary of a Wimpy Kid and other humorous books.
