A:I think the 5 quart would be very rare. Does it actually say 5 quarts? I have never seen one and I have perhaps 100 vintage canning jars. Check to see if there is a number on the bottom of the jar and perhaps you may also find a manufacturer. the 'Mason' was used generically after the original patent expired in the late 1800's.
