so i was watching ufc last night, and randomly i thought, if youre hiv positive or have aids, are you allowed to fight? i mean if they are, with all the blood shed it would be easy for the other fighters to become infected too. But if hiv/aids positive people are not allowed to fight, then wouldnt that be discriminating? does anyone know the rules about this, if there are any? thanks.
I totally agree. Blood sports like UFC can spread blood-borne illnesses such as HIV and hepatitis. However, I am not aware if the fighters were ever tested for such infections prior to the fight. I remember Dana White, president of UFC once dismissed one fighter because he had oral herpes. I believe he did the right thing as oral herpes is highly contagious via skin to skin contact. I don't believe it is discriminating to prohibit HIV-positive fighters from fighting. In fact, I think it is the prudent thing to do.

Best thing i can tell you is look up the rules on the UFC and see how they read also look at the ball player Magic Johnson he had HIV and could not play basket ball any more as there is less blood shead in Basket Ball than some outher sports.

As a Wwe wrestling fan for 31 years Since age 10 ~~Ouch~~ , I think with wrestling stuff needs to be toned down, You got guys jumping 100 feet and landing on another guy , In a TLC wrestling match , They defintley should have toned this sport down along time ago But these wrestlers get cuts , And I hope they tested
