Is the USA losing it's hegomony due to the incompetence of the Bush adminisration?

No day in which you learn something is a complete loss.

This is more of an opinion question rather than a factual question. The US presence in the world is mostly regulated by trade agreements and commercial realtionships that haven't been touched by the Bush administration as far as I know. Right now, it looks like the American economy will be effected much more by China or India than by its own strategy.

IMHO, Bush has generated a lot of bad publicity for the US but has had no serious impact on the economy or its world-wide impact in many topics.

I think that the US is experiencing a gradual process of losing its hegemony since the end of the 90's. Although the Bush administration seems to be 'incompetent', as you describe it, we must not forget that there are other newly rising powers in our world such as China, which can't be ignored for it's huge production and consumption potential. It has much to do with economics and international trade. Although the Bush administration doesn't improve this situation, it shouldn't exclusively be blamed for it.
