URGENT RESPONSE???????

I and three other people posted a bail bond for my brother who upon release was on a payment plan because he we did not have the full 10%. the payments stop because he went to serve time for the charge he was released on and now I am being sued for the total loan balance of $5,000. who is responsible for the balance? ARE we all responsible or just me? I need to file an answer to there complaint?
