You've got a lot to learn....never think you know it all!  Especially to those kids out there who compensate for their parents lack of love, by running around getting pregnant or shooting up, or robbing, just to be "loved" or "the sh*t" among other delinquents.....this is your one shot at life... make it work, be somebody worth something more than an article in the obituaries for a day.

A:

i just went thru one myself.  Im in wisconsin and a self divorce, with no lawyers costed me @ $150.00.  Im not sure on whether or not it varies state to state, but a self divorce thru the court system is easy.  The court i went to had a self help center that guided me thru every step and it was alot easier than i thought.  I didn't need a lawyer even though my ex was abusive to me and one of my kids.  I am in a 'no fault" state, but the judge did sympathize with the abuse.  If you are in a state that goes on faults, call your court house help center and go from there.  Every divorce is different and requires different attention.  But if you and your ex agree on most issues, you won't need a lawyer, and it's fairly cheap.  If you are in a fault state, it may be easier to prove a case if you were the one who was done wrong....if you did wrong, i am no sure how it will go.   So just call the couty court house self help center as a beginning and go from there
