  1. Actually dash and hyphen do the same thing. Click on the - key. Thats all.

Sorry, your response is incorrect. There is a difference between a dash and a hyphen. A dash usually separates whereas a hyphen combines. You can enter an en dash by typing Ctrl+Shift+dash on your keypad or keyboard. You can enter an em dash (longer) by entering Alt+Ctrl+Shift+dash on your keyboard. These and other special characters may be found in WORD/Insert/Symbol/Special Characters.
