On Twitter, do you "twitter," "twitt," "twit," or "tweet"?  What is the proper verb for sending updates?

From the usage I have seen on my twitter stream:

"twitter" is the applicattion itself

"twitt" (with one or two t's) is the act of posting messages 

"tweet" refers to the actual messages
