how to get followers on twitter none of my friends are on. Also can anyone at all see my tweets if I have no followers? Is there a way to request people to follow you? If I reply to tweets can the person I'm replying to see it? Help!

Hey Ginger, your tweets show up in a public timeline, so yes people can see them through searches and other means if they are not following you. The way you get followers is by being an active participant. Teet good interesting content with keywords realtive to your interests and people will find you. The best way to get followers is to start following others. I blog a lot about twitter and am creating a twitter tutorial series.

Politics are my passion so I'd like to be able to tweet back and forth with Media types and Pundits like Rachal Maddow ect.they would never follow me would they?
Yes you can @reply to non-followers. Your @replies are visible on the public timeline, so they are not private. Private messages can be sent with a direct message. Hope this answers your question.
