This one may be a little weird, but it works like magic (only if the ankle is swollen): Take a dry white onion (medium size) in the oven for 40 minutes. Take it out and let it cool down till it doesn't burn your skin. Cut in to 2 halves and place each half on the sides of the ankle, where it is swollen.
Rap around it a bandage or a cotton cloth, and leave it there for a few hours. It may stink... but it is the best solution I ever got!
