Truthfulness

What is truthfulness ?    According to the Hindu scriptures it is " the speaking of words which are entirely free from harmful effects."

What is your take ?

Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.

With all due respect to the scriptures, sometimes the truth hurts.

Truthfulness, to me, is speaking words devoid of deception and bias.  Moral Honesty is being concerned whether speaking the truth will have harmful effects.

It is easy to talk the talk.
Now it's time to walk the walk.

I'm not so sure that I would regard the Vedas as scripture: there is so little of substance in them that to believe in them -- or the warlike religion they tout -- is decidedly unwise.

Truthfulness is to bring out the full case as it bears on an issue, not conceal material fact the way Hindus do.

The same goes for the equally warlike Koran and the warlike bunch that it misled.  If we see the source of violence in the present world, it comes in between the warlike Hindus and Moslems.

Until they cease opening fire on each other, persecuting other faiths, and stirring up mindless hate, all based on outright lies, then I cannot say much for Hindu or Islam.

Come to think of it, neither can history. Any way you look at either one of these outlaw cults, they are just plain evil.
