I have a good link to help you with treating yeast infections which I will include at the end.)
A yeast infection looks like flat red rashes which can occur in various regions of the anatomy:
Symptoms of yeast infections:
1) A yeast infection in the genital area in advanced stages can be accompanied by a discharge of a white or yellow mucus - often causing bad odor. Itchiness and rritated skin around the labia, and also stinging/burning during urination.
2) A yeast infection of the throat or mouth resembles a white pimple on a swollen red spot. Mouth and throat yeast infections can be painful, and cause eating and swallowing to be difficult.
3) Yeast infections are also common between the fingers and toes , under the breast , around the anus and on the penis . In these areas, a yeast infection looks like swollen patches of purple or red dry flaky skin that can burn and itch.
(It's often underestimated how common male yeast infections are - a large amount of males live with a mild form of yeast infection and fail to get it diagnosed.)
The cause of yeast infections :
Candida is the cause of both female and male yeast infections. It lives with us all our lives but is usually kept under control by our bodies natural defenses.
1) our skin,
2) white cells and antibodies,
3) helper bacteria which live on and inside us,
4) immune system.
When one of these defenses break down we are at risk of succumbing to infections.
Some home remedies for yeast infections :
1) Honey is an itch reliever: apply it and keep it on the affected areas for an hour or so - external use only.
2) Oil of Oregano has has a high Carvacol content which has powerful anti-yeasting agent. Keep applying it on the infected areas until the symptoms subside.
3) Yogurt contains Lactobacillus acidophilus. It's a friendly bacteria that kills yeast by producing hydrogen peroxide. Yogurt can be applied internally as well (syringe, frozen yogurt lollies - get creative). Of course eating lots of yogurt also helps!
Please note : These home remedies for treating yeast infections can produce slow results, and are only a temporary solution (yeast infections "candida albicans" have a nasty habit of reocurrence) to an underlying cause.
For a permanent, quick and very effective solution I would suggest that you visit treating yeast infections naturally . They have excellent advice on how to treat yeast infections safely, quickly and permanently.
I hope that this info helps and gives you a better idea about treating yeast infections.
I wish you all the best and good luck.
