Transfer data from PalmVIIx to current PDA/handheld

Will I be able to transfer my data and applications from my 2002 PalmVIIx to a current handheld?  This PDA still works fine for what I need, and I back it up to the Palm Desktop (3.1) application on my computer.  But I know it won't run forever.  When it dies will I be able to restore from the Palm Desktop to some new PDA/handheld?

Hi

you'll need a common software that both PDA's can sync with.

If your next PDA is going to be a palm then you can sync it with palm-desktop, if it's going to be a Pocket-PC (for example) you can use OUTLOOK to sync the devices (both palms and pockets can sync with outlook).

Anyway - always make a hard backup of your data Wink

I have no practical experience but

If you'll back-up your Palm to OUTLOOK (not to palm-desktop)and then sync. this data to your next Pocket-PC handheld
