I'm looking into some home remodelling. In many of the contracts there appears the phrase "freight prepaid". What exactly does it mean? Will I be charged with the delivery?
‘Freight prepaid” means that the manufacture has paid the long distance freight charges in advance. These types of terms are common when an established relationship has developed over a period of time. Sometimes a manufacture will offer this as an incentive for large volume orders.
