Transaction Has Not Closed but I am receipt of the deposit funds that were in escrow

I am a Seller of property. The transaction has not closed yet, but in order to extend the closing I took the buyer's deposit funds out of escrow (upon agreement of the buyer), and took receipt of them. Can I still do a 1031 of the property being sold?
