Looking for a Traditional Surrogate

   My name is Haley, I am a 27 year old Caucassion..... my husband is Phillip, a 35 year old Hispanic. We have been together for 4 years and married for going on 2 years. We live in Ohio where my husband is a long time employee of Proctor & Gamble, working under their contractor Exel. He works Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm and has his weekends off. I was a long time Property Manager for low income housing complex's, however due to medical reasons I am no longer working and now fulfilling my duties as a stay at home wife.

   I growing up had many female medical problems, forcing me at a mere 22 years old to have to have a Hysterectomy. I knew right then and there that all of my hopes and dreams of being a Mother were crushed. My husband and I have been down many paths trying to become parents, however they have all ended in heartache for us.

  

   We have had a friend of ours offer to be a surrogate. However after we had bought everything for the nursery and got it all set up she was forced to back out due to medical reasons of her own. The Doctor's said she would be a very high risk pregnancy, and we did not want to risk our friend nor the child she would be carrying.

  

   Then  just about 6 months ago another friend of ours was pregnant by an ex, she already has 4 children and stated she could not handle anymore. My husband and I sat down with her (at her request) and we were informed she wanted us to adopt her baby. Again we got all excited and went to every Doctor's appoinment. After getting very involved and feeling very lucky to finally have been blessed with a child, she changed her mind and decided to keep the baby when she was only a month away from delivering. Heart wrenching for us, but at the same time we had to respect her decision.

  

   Our hopes and dreams of being parents are quickly dwindeling down to nothing, we are trying to keep faith and believe but it is so hard. I walk past our nursery that's set up in our home every day and burst into tears, I find myself not being able to be happy for my friends around me who are getting pregnant- instead I feel resentment and pain. I know this is wrong, but it is so hard and the pain just eats away at you. It is horrible when your dream of becoming parents is something so simple most people take for granted. 

  

   We are not poor but we are not rich enough to fork out thousands of dollars for an adoption either. I am hoping there is some one out there who can help us taking into consideration our financial means we have available.

  

    I am just looking for a ray of light and hope to make all our dreams come true. I am hoping maybe you can help us become the one thing we want most in life (parents)...

Hello, my name is Kimberley Schooley. I am a mother of 3 beautiful children and one on the way. I am currently 6 1/2 months pregnant with a baby boy. I have one girl-Molly age 9, and two boys named Johanthan-age 6, and Jack who is 3. We are naming the baby Lucas...I think as of right now. I do not have any trouble conceiving and all of my children have been very healthy. I have had all vaginal childbirths as well. I am a very healthy person and I live a healthy lifestyle. I do not smoke, drink or do drugs nor am I exposed to it.

A couple of years ago I was going to do gestational surrogacy for a family here in Missouri. I went through all the required shots, hormones, and pills, with one IVF transfer. But due to the quality of her eggs (she was older) the transfer was not sucessfull. The intended mother was not willing to try again and that was the end of that. Unfortunatly, those things are possible in any surrogacy situation.

My questions to you, if interested. I would be willing to start 6 months after the birth of my baby if you wanted. Do you have a contract made up? Have you thought about compensation, is a lawyer going to be involved?..The reason I ask is because this is your baby and in no way, shape, or form do I want another baby. I am totally blessed with mine. These are just a few questions that I have for you. I will be looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you and have a great evening.

hi hailey i am going through my first time surrogate journey and love my i.p's . they found me on surromomsonline. Go there and you can look for surrogates and you don't have to go through an agency. Try it and see how it goes if you have any questions you can email me at tennille1930@yahoo.com God Bless you in your journey and keep the Faith.I know it's easier said than done but God does things on his timing.We sure as heck do not alway's know why but there is alway's a Blessing in the end. Hello Kimberly..... That is to bad that the last couple you tried to help gave up so easily. I wanted to make sure you understood- we are looking for a Traditional Surrogate. That is where you are inseminated with my Husband's sperm. I no longer have eggs to offer- so in the end ultimately the baby would be a part of you and my Husband.... and I would adopt it. We do not have a contract signed up- due to the fact I was waiting to find the right person and draw one up based on all of our needs and wants through out the process. AS far as the lawyer goes, again I have a very close friend who is a lawyer, I have confided in her and received alot of advice from her- as far as hiring one we have not. If you feel the desire to have us do so then we can talk about that. As compensation goes..... as I stated we are no where near rich- however we do understand you need compensated for your extreme act of love and generosity. My Husband and I have spoke and we would cover all Medical bills through his Insurance Company, we would also provide payment of $500.00 a month during the 10 month duration of the pregnancy. We would cover any Maternity clothing you may need as well. If this sounds like something reasonable to you please let us know.... if you have any questions or maybe want something changed let us know as well. We are ALWAYS willing to comprimise :)

Advice from the trenches....

I understand how painful it is to come so close, several times, to having a baby in your life. There are a lot of issues involved with a surrogacy arrangement. I suggest that you read the information on the website http://infertilityanswers.org/ including the laws state by state. There is also a page that describes what normal 'base fees' are and what is included in a 'benefit' package. You can also read my blog(s) which offer all kinds of information and my opinions regarding Surrogacy and other third party arrangements.
