Toshiba TV/VCR combo

MV19M2W

The remote stopped working for this TV.  I purchased a new remote and still does not work.

If it is in the TV "RED EYE", can this be repaired/replaced?

Is it worth it?

I had the same problem with RCA's Universal remote.  Took it back to Radio Shack, and got Philips.  Works like a charm.  Just be sure you're using the correct code for your brand of TV/VCR combo.  That's critical.

If u checked the batteries and it still does not work then I would sugest it is not worth it to fix it.  Call windows tech and maybe they can work with u on it.  I have had many problems solved by them.

The TV / vcr combo is worth an easy $150, an electronics usually charges $25-$35 service charge. The part should be around $15-$25 with 3 months service guarante. It is worth it. Your problem is finding a hounest repair man.
If at all possible clean the INSIDE of the plastic R\C infrered window, but if you don't know what you are doing, please don't....
