From what I understand there is some clause in this health care plan that keeps people from suing these Doctors for malpractice. As it stands now it is almost impossible to sue a Doctor unless he attacks a patient with a baseball bat. When Bush left office the last thing he did was change the laws concerning nursing home lawsuits, you can't depose any State employee, that means the board of health or any health care worker that is employed by the state , this was mainly for nursing homes, and who works in nursing homes? state employes, and who do you have to notify if you want to sue a nursing home? a state board of health worker who can never be deposed or questioned again. This was done to protect Bush sr. and Dick Cheney, they both sit on the board of directors of the Carlisle group, the Carlisle group now own a string of nursing homes called manor Care and they have invested in these nursing homes, they are being sued constantly and very few win. I heard Obama say he was going to keep Doctors from being sued for Malpractice and the lawuits against Doctors are mostly frivolous, so I don't think suing a Doctor anymore is going to be that easy and it was also said they were going to put a cap on how much you can sue for. With all the little sneaky things they have in this health care plan I don't think Doctors will have to worry about getting sued , at least not bigtime.
The 2nd part of the plan is what we are all fighting to keep from going through, Obama already passed part one , they sneaked it through in a stimulus package and no one knew it, now they are trying to get through part 2. With this kind of sneaky underhanded bill passing , I don't think we should ever accept part 2.
The common denominator of these 3 politicians is law firms, all hands wash one anothers and screw the public.
