I have extremely dry eyes, and have tried everything from Restasis to flax seed oil. Nothing really helps. Four years ago, after suffering with poor vision, a local doctor performed LASIKS surgery on my worst...right...eye, and shortly after the surgery my dry eyes became much worse. I have been under the care of a well-known opthamologist since then, and he has been able to get me to a somewhat "comfortable" stage, with fairly good vision, after cataract surgery and total lens replacement. Problem is: I am very conscious not to rub my eyes, but too often, at least once or twice every two weeks, I feel as though I have a foreign body in my right eye...and it appears as though the film over my eye is raised...bubbled and perhaps torn in the outside corner of my eye. It is very uncomfortable. And both eyes become very red and irritated looking. ?????? What can I do??? Is this serious?? I usually suffer with this for several days, and then it seems to clear up on its own. Any advice??
