I have two tomato plants next to the house, about 2 feet from each other. every year the one in the corner by the stairs grows 5 to 10 times as big as the one almost next to it, or any of the ones in the garden. I would really like to know what is so special about that spot and why the cherry tomato plant grows so incredibly well right there. It grows up and spreads out onto the porch and railing and out to almost barricade the walk up to the house.
I am thinking about mixing the soil back and forth between the two locations next year to see if that has anything to do with it. The watering of each plant is the same. It is a completely new plant each year, from the same batch of seeds.
